Description

My name is Sandy Jay and I have been running this weekend for several years now, which has proved very successful with those who have attended - many who have returned to every weekend. It is held in the beautiful grounds of Buckfast Abbey, which is based in the amazing landscape of Dartmoor.

The weekend will give you the opportunity to look at areas of your life that stop you moving forward. There will be time to reflect in a safe, supportive environment and also opportunity to work at a deeper level if you need.

I combine the use of psychodrama with exploring the group process as it evolves within the group.

I have worked for over 20 years in groups and believe that all the answers we need are within ourselves and within the group. However, sometimes our experience in life prevents us from seeing these answers or have made us too fearful to change them.

The group is usually varied: it ranges from people who are very familiar with the therapy world to those who have never seen a therapist in their life.

One of the powerful things for me as a therapist is to witness how quickly the group learns to nurture itself. Exploring the relationships witin the group also deepens this process.

Members are encouraged to work at a level they feel comfortable with. No experience is needed to attend the workshop.....just an openness for change!!

Outside of the therapy times we relax and have much fun together. At the end of the day we really look forward to the wonderful cooking of Sarah Jayne who runs a local restaurant locally. She comes to Grangehurst to provide us with our evening meal.

Exeter airport is 20 minutes drive and Totnes train station is 15 minutes drive. I can usually organise a lift if given notice.

All hours will count towards Psychodrama training. Certificates of attendance will be provided for those who need.
