Description

Psychodrama Experimental Workshop with Anna Chesner, UKCP reg psychotherapist, BPA reg Practitioner and Senior Trainer.

These run four times a year and are open to those people seeking an experience of psychodrama and wishing to engage in some personal work.

Anna’s approach draws on psychodynamic, existentialist and systemic traditions as well as her experiences as a psychotherapist, dramatherapist and playback theatre practitioner. The weekends are designed to give an opportunity for personal exploration and development in a safe environment, as well as an understanding and experience of the method.

Psychodrama is a deep psychological method of psychotherapy using role, symbolisation and enactment.

'The Underlying Theory of Psychodrama, Part One.'

(Part Two is on the 6th-7th March 2010.)

This weekend will include psychodramas and also processing and teaching on the underlying theory of psychodrama, including the five elements of psychodrama, Moreno’s theories of child development and spontaneity / creativity, his concept of psychodrama as a form of ‘self-help,’ the locus and status nascendi, action research and the Canon of Creativity.

This weekend workshop is open to diploma or certificate trainees from any psychodrama or sociodrama training school, people who are considering training in psychodrama, or professionals from related fields who have a particular interest in psychodrama or the topic of the weekend. In contrast to open workshops, where registered psychodrama trainers and practitioners facilitate the sessions, in trainee workshops some or all of the psychodramas are directed by registered diploma trainees, under the guidance and supervision of an approved trainer.

This weekend counts as 16 psychodrama training hours and can be credited towards the full diploma course, where relevant.
