What does it mean for us to be working in collaborative and co creative ways with groups and individuals?   Peggy Natiello offers the metaphor of the conductor whose ‘role is to encourage the creative freedom and music of each of the instruments, and help them play in harmony.’   Rogers talked about the realness of the therapist, ‘the meeting of two live, real human beings, with the therapist fully present to his client.’   Similarly Moreno talked about holding attitudes of active curiosity and the courage to challenge the familiar.      In this workshop we will draw on Moreno’s and Kellerman’s ideas about the specific but overlapping roles that are intrinsic to the psychodrama director, as well as person-centred theory about the therapeutic relationship and leadership. Using psychodrama and action methods we will explore ways of being collaborative as well as creative in ways that can be energising and liberating. This training workshop will be experiential and action based with theoretical input and handouts.
