Two Faces or a Butterfly?
Adobe PDF  Embodiment of Change

Look at the image. What do you see? Two faces or a butterfly? Both are there.
Using Psychodrama and Sociodrama as holistic methods, we engage the body, senses and imagination in the service of regenerative change at psychological, physical, interpersonal and social levels.

In the 2011 BPA Annual Conference Embodiment of Change at St. Mary’s University College in London, from 1st – 3rd July 2011 we will explore the interconnections with 21st century developments in theory and practice with science, psychotherapy and the creative arts.

Call For Submissions

We warmly invite you to submit a workshop or presentation at the conference. We wish to create a programme that reflects our conference theme as closely as possible. We welcome sessions that explore innovations in psychodrama and sociodrama and related fields. These may relate to theory, practice, training and performance. Abstracts are welcome from everyone and in particular trainees or those who are new to presenting.

Members interested in submitting a workshop or presentation can login in and download the application form from the member resources section of the website.

Non members should email to request an application form.

Welcome to the British Psychodrama Association

The British Psychodrama Association (BPA) was established in 1984 to promote and encourage the use of psychodrama throughout the UK. It is accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and in turn the BPA is the accrediting organisation for psychodrama and sociodrama training organisations.

Psychodrama is a very effective and powerful group method. The BPA is keen to protect the public and the good reputation of psychodrama and for this reason all trainees and practitioners are required to be registered with the BPA.

We welcome members from across the World and membership is open to anyone who is interested in Psychodrama, Sociodrama and Action Methods.

By joining the BPA you will become part of a worldwide network of psychodrama professionals who enthusiastically deliver, promote and develop their expertise. The BPA has an Annual AGM and Conference and there are related conferences and workshops throughout the world that members attend. Members may also choose to serve on the Executive Committee and/or sub-committees promoting the aims of the Association together. Membership also normally includes two Journals and four Newsletters. These publications contain related theoretical articles, news about the membership and the Association, information about workshops and forthcoming events plus views, reports and correspondence.

For more information visit our membership page.FAQs

The BPA exists to promote the development of Psychodrama, Sociodrama and creative action methods in Psychotherapy, training and education.
