Description

This psychodrama psychotherapy group will meet for the whole
day at regular intervals throughout the year, providing a place to work on specific issues that get in the way of you living your life in the way you would wish. The group will be the same members each group other than when new members join (at certain periods throughout the year).

You may have a specific problem, or simply want to understand more about how you relate to others. The group will be a safe place for you to gain insight into how you interact with others’,
providing time & opportunity to understand how others’ experience you. We will look at how & when old unhealthy patterns emerge in your relationships & look at ways you can change this.

Making the group dynamics conscious will enable you to develop strategies that you can carry into everyday life. You can then understand how past relationships influence the present. Changes can then be achieved through challenging negative beliefs you hold about yourself & others.

Outside of the group process time a variety of methods will be used to explore issues ranging from group exercises, action techniques and individual psychodramas.

Group members will make a commitment to attend 6 consecutive groups with the option of renewal if wanted. For people with no experience of group therapy it will be possible to attend a one off session before committing for the full 6.

Dates for 2010: Feb 6th, March 27th, May 8th, June 19th, Sept 11th, Oct 23rd, Dec 11th.

If you are interested then contact Sandy to arrange an assessment session in person or if you live further away it may be possible to do this with a telephone consultation.

For those who are travelling you may want to enjoy your stay on Dartmoor by booking in to a local B & B prices start at £25 per night. Contact Tourist Information : 01364 653426 or www.ashburton.org
