PETER HAWORTH | THE INTRA PSYCHIC ROLE ATOM

Moreno’s role theory and his writings on sociometry, particularly ‘Who Shall Survive’ which he wrote in 1934, suggested that contrary to Psychoanalytic theory that there is no such thing as the ‘True Self’. The infant is born in total connection with the universe . Self and the Universe are as one being. Over the first few months of life the baby develops a sense of self through somatic roles and then social roles. This workshop will introduce participants to the use of the atom in exploring roles that we play that make up our identity as adults. This will be done first on paper and then in action.
