BPA Psychodrama and Sociodrama Conference 2026

We are delighted to introduce you to the theme of the British Psychodrama Association‘s Conference of Psychodrama and Sociodrama 2026 as
Wellspring: Re-sourcing Ourselves and Our Collective.

The Conference will take place from 31st July to 2nd August 2026 (from Friday 12 noon until 1:45 pm Sunday) at The Old Swan Inn, in the Historic Spa Town of Harrogate, England, a renowned place of healing and renewal for over 400 years. We are delighted to announce that the Call for Workshops and Tele-talks is now open.

We welcome workshops that offer creative, embodied, reflective, or practice-based approaches to resourcing ourselves and our communities, including arts therapies, psychodrama, dramatherapy, movement and somatic work, supervision and leadership practices, community-based healing methods, and innovative interventions that strengthen wellbeing, resilience, and collective care.

If you need to access the application form in another way, or have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Conference Team at conference@psychodrama.org.uk.

We hope 2026 has started very well for you!

While we have received over 20 workshop proposals thus far (and the deadline is midnight of the day on which this is written) and these are from all over the UK as well as India, Iceland, the US and Sweden to name a few.

We believe that we will need to offer more workshops than usual in each slot as we build on the momentum that previous conferences have generated.

Therefore, we are now extending the deadline to midnight GMT on the 31st January 2026.

If you have been considering submitting one but have either run out of time or are still thinking about it, please do send us your workshop proposal!

Conference presenters benefit from the Very Early Bird rate as well as the international platform on which to offer your practice and exchange with our wider community.

The venue is the beautiful and historic Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, in the north of England.

We will update this page soon with more information about the conference, how and when to propose a workshop, and how to book your place. For now, please set aside those dates because we would love to see you there!

If you have the time, we would appreciate your help in spreading the news about the conference through your contacts, professional networks and social media accounts. BPA conferences are open to newcomers as well as experienced practitioners, so let your friends and colleagues know about this great opportunity to learn about and experience psychodrama, sociodrama and sociometry.

Warm wishes on behalf of the BPA conference 2026 organising committee.
