LYNNE RYAN | BELONGING: CONNECTING TO SELF AND OTHERS POST TRAUMA

The need to belong is fundamental to humans and we are neurologically wired to connect to others and live in groups. Trauma disconnects us from others and can fragment the psyche, resulting in dissociation, social isolation and the feeling of being other / different.

This 2-hour workshop aims to give an introduction to Trauma, Attachment and Dissociation and provide creative and trauma informed ways to work with humans of all ages, who have experienced trauma, in order to facilitate connection and healing.

A combination of theoretical input and experiential activities will be offered to increase understanding of the relevant current theories of trauma (psychoeducation), attachment and dissociation and the phased approach to working with trauma.
