MARTHA LINDSELL & VALERIE MONTI HOLLAND | HOW HORSES TEACH US WAYS TO BELONG AGAIN

Horses are herd animals who understand boundaries and roles in a natural way that humans need to learn if it has not been modelled for them. This workshop offers a space to be with horses and other people to connect to our own bodies in a facilitated space. Which roles do we comfortably play in our groups? Where are our learning edges? How can we belong and embrace our places in the human herd?

About
MARTHA LINDSELL

Martha and Valerie have known each other for over two decades as friends and colleagues. Martha’s passion lies in developing healthy relationships between horses and people and she uses an eclectic approach to training, drawing on her experience as an Applied Theatre practitioner for effective equine coaching techniques. Her horsemanship knowledge comes from an array of sources and disciplines from around the world including having my BHSAI and Australian Natural horsemanship instructor status.

About
VALERIE MONTI HOLLAND

Valerie’s practice as a facilitator using sociodrama, action methods and creative play has met the development needs and pain points of organisations in the public, private and charitable sectors, across the UK, Europe and the US. They have been yearning to combine the two ways of working for some time and had already been planning this prior to the pandemic.
