Dr. Ron Wiener is a senior sociodrama trainer and former honorary President of the British Psychodrama Association who awarded him a lifetime achievement award in 2008. He co-lead the MPV/SAM school of sociodrama training. He has run trainings and/or workshops across Europe, in Russia, China and India as well as America and Australia. He is the author of Drug Taking among school children (his Ph.D thesis), Community Action: The Belfast Experience; Creative Training and is co-editor of Sociodrama in a Changing World. He has published many article and book chapters and has been translated into Turkish, German, Hebrew and Portuguese He has been a member of the scientific/international ctte. helping to organise the 7 International sociodrama conferences.
He is a founder member of ISCAN – the International Sociodrama and Creative Action Network.
In his semi-retirement he also works as a community theatre director, now on zoom and this includes two improvisation workshops* as well as an Asian theatre company who’ve created an educational play about the pandemic.
