| Description | We meet twice a month from 1 to 5pm on the last Saturday and from 6 to 8.30pm on the Wednesday 2 weeks before this.The culture of the group is supportive, accepting and loving. Although the psychotherapeutic emphasis is on Psychodrama, we always go with the energy and needs of the group so each session evolves organically involving whatever skills are required whether that be verbal sharing, psychodrama, healing, emotional releases, or sound work. Counselling, Dip. Psychodrama Psychotherapy, Cert. in Advanced Psychodramatic Bodywork, Reiki Practitioner, Sound Healer (IAST), UKCP & BPA Practitioner, MBACP) Ali has over 17 years experience of working in mental health, substance abuse and with young people, both in the statutory and voluntary sectors in Oxfordshire and Cornwall. She is trained in Counselling, Psychodrama Psychotherapy, Reiki Healing, Sound Therapy and was the first Qualified Practitioner in Psychodramatic Bodywork in the UK. Ali has a wide experience of facilitating many types of groups, of teaching counselling skills in Adult Education and she has been an external tutor for the University of Plymouth. Ali works from her own private psychotherapy practice at Transformation Therapy Rooms and draws on a variety of modalities, including Person-Centred therapy, the Psychodynamic model, Solution-Focussed Brief Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Reiki, Psychodrama and Psychodramatic Bodywork. Ali also works as a supervisor for individual and group counsellors and therapists. Lyn Thompson (Dip. Reflexology, Reiki Practitioner, Cert. Psychodramatic Bodywork, Sound Healer (IAST), Spiritual Development Facilitator) is a trained Reflexologist and Reiki Practitioner who also practices from Transformation Therapy Rooms. She is qualified in Psychodramatic Bodywork and has assisted in many of Susan Aaron’s training workshops, in this country and abroad. Lyn has run Spiritual Development Groups and co-facilitates the Soul Therapy Groups with Ali. She also works as a Spiritual Development Facilitator and healer using sound and shamanic healing on an individual basis. Lyn has many years’ experience of working in schools and within the NHS in Cornwall. |
